Crowds soaked up the warm and sunny weather as they flocked in droves from around WA for the 2025 Newdegate Machinery Field Days.
Over 300 exhibitors were featured at the Field Days and included a range of displays of seeders, artisanal food products, harvesters, solar panels, clothing and accessories, highland cows, sheep, Kelpie puppies, and food vans.
The Field Days were a celebration of the Newdegate and Shire of Lake Grace community, celebrating not just farmers and their families but also electricians, boilermakers, plumbers, accountants, bankers, teachers, grocers, and more.
Adults and children battled it out at the Farmers Challenge and Young Farmers Challenge obstacle course, which was held in the south-east corner of the Field Days for the first time.
Other strutted the catwalk at the Family Interest Display Pavilion showing off their carefully-cultivated mullets in a fierce battle that ended with dual winners in the lambs category.
Working dogs similarly battled it out at the dog jump competition, with a jumping wall that was adjusted higher and higher with each round — eventually reaching a height of 2.34 metres which was cleared by winning dogs Bolt, a Red Border Collie, and Khaos, a Dutch Shepherd.
