Here Comes The Sun: Music festival featuring Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants coming to Margaret River for WSL
A line-up of stellar Aussie acts will be making their way across to WA for a music festival happening in tandem with the Margaret River Pro weekend.
Music festival Here Comes The Sun is set to make its return this year, this time in partnership with World Surf League for three events with WSL’s Australian Championship Tour.
Kicking off at Torquay Common on April 4 for the Rip Curl Pro weekend, Here Comes The Sun will then return to its home of 3 Oceans in WA’s surfing paradise of Margaret River on April 25 for the Margaret River Pro weekend.
The festival will finish up on the Gold Coast on May 2 for the Gold Coast Pro weekend.
Taking the stage at all events will be some of Australia’s most established and emerging artists such as Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants, Young Franco, Sycco, Eliza & The Delusionals and Mariae Cassandra.
Synonymous with surfing, the festival has gone hand-in-hand with the Western Australia Margaret River Pro for years, then broadened its horizons in 2024 to venture eastward and join the Bells Beach event in Torquay.
Headliners Lime Cordiale, consisting of brothers Oliver and Louis Leimbach, said “it was about time we got asked to do this (one).”
“We’re always touring during the WSL, but now we get to combine the two. Absolutely frothing. Might even decide to compete if it’s big enough at Margs. Who knows?”
WSL APAC president Andrew Stark said: “WSL are stoked to partner with the Here Comes the Sun Festival to combine our iconic WSL Championship Tour events in Australia with an exciting music festival experience.”
“Music and surfing have always shared an authentic fit, and this partnership will continue to bring this to life at our icon events.”
Festival director and lifelong surfer Ross Macpherson said the WSL had witnessed their events over the years in Margaret River, but more so when the event expanded into Torquay with Ocean Alley and Ball Park Music at the top of the bill.
“Aligning with music events is a part of WSL’s goals for 2026 and beyond,” he said.
“Given its relationship with surfing and coastal communities, Here Comes The Sun was a natural fit.
“We’re excited to expand the festival into new territories... with even more planned for 2027!”
