Pram supplier Britax Childcare has urgently recalled four of its strollers following the discovery of a serious safety failure that puts the lives of little ones at risk.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission warned the handles could detach from each of the four strollers due to missing rivets.

“The handles may detach from these strollers due to missing rivets and the operator may lose control,” the ACCC said in its urgent recall alert.

“(There is a) risk of serious injury or death to children if the operator loses control of the stroller while in use.”

The affected strollers are four lightweight wheeled offerings that convert from single to tandem mode.
