IN PICTURES: Provincial House on Stirling hosts cosy evening to open weekend Christmas in July market

The Provincial House on Stirling unveiled its Christmas in July market on Thursday night, opening their doors for a sneak peek at the vendors exhibiting a range of nostalgic collectables and creative works. Invited members of the Albany community packed into the quirky home goods store on Stirling Terrace after dark, finding a reprieve from the cold winter night outside and an inviting wonderland of vintage items and artworks. Kirby’s Atelier de Cuisine catered the event, complete with a bar nestled into the corner of the shop serving up a range of drinks from mulled wine to champagne, as well as delightful stands of finger food dotted around the store for shoppers to snack on as they browsed the market. Artists and vendors from around Albany welcomed shoppers to their displays, including Ron Baker and Marjan Bakhtiarikish’s original artworks, and Patsy Payne’s delicate lace Christmas decorations. Violinist Michael Hyder added the ambience to the gathering later in the evening, with shoppers following the sound of his playing from the front door to the hidden back of the store. The Christmas in July market was open to the public across the weekend.
