Lower Great Southern Hockey Association host successful junior skills clinic as part of Country Challenge

There was strong attendance at Lower Great Southern Hockey Association’s hockey clinic in Albany on Monday, with budding youngsters provided with expert skills from several State hockey representatives.

Players from the Hockey Australia Country Challenge tournament offered guidance to schoolkids from across the region.

More than 30 players took part in the session with Hockey WA’s Jarrod Booth, Keith Old and Heath Cremasco among the coaches in attendance.

Australian Defence Force representative Jess Brogan and New South Wales’ Sarah White also took part in the junior clinic.

Cremasco ran separate drills for aspiring young goalkeepers while Booth and Old assisted with skills for the outfield players.

The clinic was run as part of the week-long hockey tournament in Albany that runs from August 6-13 with teams from the ADF, WA, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria competing.
