The Rogers stable, however, is in white-hot form, with 24 winners in total for 2020-2021, including four metro victories.

His sparkling form continued in Bunbury on Australia Day as smart two-year-old Hoi An broke her maiden status.

Last Saturday, Rogers had an Asoct double with the impressive Island Charm and Zetorio.

Rogers has 17 runners engaged at Percy Spencer Racecourse this afternoon.

Wolfe has nine starters as he looks to take back the lead in the award he has dominated over the past two decades.

Meanwhile boom three-year-old God Has Chosen will face another test as he chases a third successive win.

The Playing God gelding is unbeaten after two starts for Albany for trainer Neil Lee and apprentice Jess Gray and has been eye-catching in both victories.

God Has Chosen will run in race four, the Albany Stockfeeds Handicap (1500m) and will tackle smart five-year-old mare Fangio who is also chasing three wins in a line for Rogers.

The first race is at 1.22pm with the last race set for 5.15pm.
