Fyre takes down Misfits in one-sided round six match

The Broome Touch Association’s semester two competition is well under way with top of the ladder division one team Fyre taking down the Misfits in a one-sided affair at the Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre in round six.

Fyre left everything out on the field to defeat the Misfits by 8 points thanks to major strides from Gil Casanova who scored six tries throughout the match, 12 to 4.

Elsewhere the Roey Raiders defeated the All Stars in a close match, 9 to 5, with the Allstars’ Keegan Chappell leading the scoring with two tries.

Neither the Runaways or the Broome Pirates managed to get the win over the other as the two teams clashed, both coming away with a draw, 5 all.

In second division, the Tiple O’s took down Cool Joggings in a one-sided match, 11 to 3, while Next Gen recorded a resounding win against the Exploders, 12 to 2.

The Bushchooks claimed victory over Good Palpitations, 8 to 5, and the Much Arounds defeated the Stingers, 7 to 9.

The Stinger’s Marline Vincent led the scoring for the match on two tries.
