Manicures, eyebrow waxes and lash lifts are back in action after restrictions were eased for Phase 3 as of Saturday.

After being forced to close for more than two months due to the coronavirus crisis, beauty and nail salons have been allowed to reopen leaving Bunbury’s beauty community reeling with excitement.

Sassy Nails Salon owner and operator Christine Buckland reopened on Saturday and said she was pleased to be back in business.

“Having to close was very hard for me,” Ms Buckland said.

“It was hard on us all I think.

“I’m very happy we can open because I’ve been closed since the end of March.”

Ms Buckland said all her regular clients were coming back for business.

“I’ve being booked up very quickly which is great,” she said.

It’s important to come out and support local businesses right now, just give us a call.

The Browsculpt Bar owner Carly Green said the sudden closure came as a shock to her and it was sad, but it gave her more time to focus on her business.

Since the announcement, Ms Green, pictured, had been busy preparing to reopen yesterday.

“We’re so excited to be back and reopen,” she said.

“We’re extremely busy with bookings — we’re fairly busy consistently anyway but we’re extra busy at the moment so that’s exciting.

“The running of the business has changed slightly to follow guidelines, but the services are still the same.”
