Bunbury Fringe 2023 officially kicks off with various performances and workshops wowing the crowd

The Stirling Street Arts Centre has been transformed into a haven of art, food and drink and live performance as the Bunbury Fringe festival kicked off last weekend. The festival was officially opened last Friday, featuring a stacked line-up of entertainment including the high-flying tricks of YUCK Circus, and the music of Vikki Thorn and MissGenius. Saturday saw an afternoon of building Lego masterpieces with Bricks n Beats, performances by Tia Gostelow, Lanes, and the Cultural Renegades, along with a side-splitting look into Greek mythology with Garry Starr. The fun did not stop there with people flocking to the Fringe Garden to spend an afternoon with 4Bit performing a mix of jazz and contemporary music, along with mini golf, a Chinese lantern making workshop, and performances by Down Rebound and Adam Hall and the Cuban Young Guns. Throughout the festival people have been making the most of the food and drink treats on offer from food trucks and stalls, a live mural painting by Papa Giuseppe and live paintings of various performances by local artist Sheree Dohnt. The Bunbury Fringe is set to continue through to January 28 with various workshops and performances to come.
