Bunbury shoppers are warming up for another fundraising campaign to support the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.

The campaign has begun for this year’s Big Freeze 10, with hopes the community will keep its generosity flowing for the milestone decade event.

The Bunbury region’s four Coles supermarkets have collectively raised more than $131,000 for FightMND since 2020, with the Eaton Fair and Australind stores among the top-five best fundraisers in the State last year.

Funds from the campaign will support research to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Motor Neurone Disease, alongside care support initiatives.

The 10th anniversary beanies can be purchased at the supermarket, and donations are able to be made in-store. Part of the proceeds from selected products will also go towards the cause.

Football legend and FightMND co-founder Neale Daniher described 2024 as a milestone year in the charity’s fight against the disease.

“But the fight is not over yet, and there is still so much more to do,” he said.

“By pulling on your Beanie for Big Freeze 10 you are doing your bit, and once again this year your actions will speak louder than words.”

The campaign runs until June 21.
