Wright’s ability to compete across multiple cycling disciplines has been a major strength throughout his development, with his mountain bike background helping build the endurance, technical ability and race awareness needed for road racing.

He will join a five-rider Australian junior men’s squad in Montreal, alongside national road race champion Benjamin Coates and dual Oceania champion Alistair Forsyth.

The junior individual time trial will take place on September 22, followed by the junior men’s road race on September 24.
