Residents within the Dardanup Shire will have plenty of free family-friendly activities to choose from this summer as a popular series returns. The Fuel to Go & Play Summer in Your Park program will return on December 1, with 23 free activities planned over three months. Dardanup Shire president Tyrrell Gardiner said the series fostered community involvement. “Our parks will be buzzing with energy and excitement as we kick off another summer of community events for everyone,” he said. “The Fuel to Go & Play Summer in Your Park Series is about connecting people, promoting healthy lifestyles, and creating memorable experiences.” Among the activities returning are Movies by Moonlight and the Scouts Family Fun Day, with new events including parkour workshops, seniors wellness activities and a family learn how to fish clinic. Cr Gardiner said this summer’s series would emphasise community education on the benefits of healthy living. ”Fuel to Go & Play Summer in Your Park is more than just events, it’s a platform to showcase our community’s diversity, foster positive connections, and bring people together in the fantastic recreational spaces we have in the Shire of Dardanup,” he said. The events are being organised by the Shire of Dardanup with $10,000 funding support from Healthway. For more information visit dardanup.wa.gov.au.
