Performing artist Siobhan Maiden is putting the call out to residents to share their memories of Bunbury as part of a new project set to bring stories back to life.

This is Where is a walking, live performance through the streets of Bunbury, set to showcase some personal stories from around town.

Maiden wants to interview anyone with a memory to share as she collates them to be a part of the performance.

“When we share our stories we feel like we belong and others get to learn more about their city and the surprising things that have happened here,” she said.

“It is what makes a places interesting. When we share our stories it’s a really good chance to feel heard and we also find out more about ourselves.”

Residents with stories can remain anonymous and these quirky or personal stories will be performed by paid actors for small groups who will be taken on a walking tour of Bunbury so the stories can be relayed in their original location.
