Major crash investigation detectives call for information about crash on Boyanup Road West in Elgin

Major crash officers are seeking the public’s help in investigating a crash in Elgin on Thursday. About 1.03pm on January 4, a Ford Ranger and a blue Yamaha motorcycle were travelling west of Boyanup Road West when they were involved in a collision. The 40-year-old man riding the motorcycle was taken by the RAC Rescue Helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital after receiving critical injuries. The 57-year-old male driver of the Ford Ranger was uninjured in the incident. Examinations were under way on the scene on Friday as part of the investigation into what happened.
