New $90k truck to help Bunbury Sea Rescue deploy anywhere in WA

Bunbury Herald

Bunbury Sea Rescue received an early Christmas present in the form of a new Hino truck.

The $90,000 vehicle will be used to tow the group’s new rescue boat, Dingo Marley, and was fully funded by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

Skipper Brett Ladhams said the truck allowed the group to be fully mobile and able to be deployed anywhere around the State.

“Our ability to be deployed to help with any rescue situation was recognised by DFES and the funding for this truck is the result of that,” Mr Ladhams said.

This new asset combined with our new 7.5m and existing 10m vessels means we are one of the better equipped groups in the State.

Geographe Civil had been lending a truck to the group.
