Respect can win award
Bunbury youngsters going above and beyond to help their community are set to be recognised for their efforts with the Bunbury Forum’s Choose Respect Champions awards.
The awards were presented for the first time in 2019 to young people who showed respect to others in the community.
A $50 voucher and a commemorative pin is up for grabs each month.
Bunbury Forum marketing manager Ashley Hastie said the partnership was an exciting opportunity.
“We are so excited to partner with Choose Respect to reward children in our community who are acting with respect, care and consideration,” he said.
“Bunbury is such a great place to live and we are looking forward to working closely with Choose Respect to make sure everyone in the area feels safe and respected.”
Bunbury Choose Respect coordinator Leanne Maher said the program helped the group grow its message.
“Recognising and acknowledging positive actions, examples of acts of kindness, of showing care and consideration will help us grow that respectful future we strive for,” she said.
Members of the public can nominate a child they feel has gone above and beyond to show respect and consideration.
