Shire of Dardanup accepts invitation from Perth Wildcats to host NBL preseason game at Eaton Recreation Centre

A year after COVID-19 prevented their South West visit, the Perth Wildcats could be let loose at the Eaton Recreation Centre for a proposed NBL preseason fixture. Dardanup Shire councillors voted to accept an invitation from the Wildcats to have the Eaton Recreation Centre host an NBL preseason fixture. It comes a year after councillors previously accepted their invitation to host a preseason match last year, which ultimately did not go ahead because of the impacts of COVID-19 at the time. While the NBL preseason fixtures are yet to be released, it was understood the Wildcats would be visiting the South West sometime between September 5 and 9. Eaton Recreation Centre previously hosted a sellout preseason fixture between the Wildcats and the Adelaide 36ers in 2017 which was well received by the community and attracted visitors from Perth to the area.
