Tavern a finalist
The Bull and Bush Tavern in Boyanup has been nominated as a finalist in the 2020 South West Business Excellence Awards.
The Bannister Downs Dairy Farm Tourism and Hospitality Award recognises a business doing outstanding service in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Bull and Bush co-owner Ellen Lilly said it was fantastic for the tavern to be nominated and it acknowledged the staffs’ efforts.
“It is a good opportunity for the staff to be recognised for the work that they do and they will go along to the gala awards night in March,” she said.
“It highlights the hard work that goes into the business and we are proud of our small family-owned business.”
Mrs Lilly said there was a lot of support from the community since the announcement of the finalists.
The Bull and Bush is nominated in the category alongside the Busselton Jetty and Next Level Monkey Biz in Dunsborough.
The South West Business Excellence Awards is run by Business South West Connect and have 20 different award categories.
There were 30 businesses that have succeeded in becoming finalists this year.
This year two-thirds of businesses entering the awards were from outside Bunbury, with nine of the 12 local government areas in the South West region being represented.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the gala presentation night for the announcement of the winners has been deferred until March.
