Treendale Farm Hotel complete three-peat with swathe of awards at hospo night

Two Bunbury hospitality venues have tasted success at the Australian Hotels Association WA Hospitality Awards, winning a total of four awards. Treendale Farm Hotel won WA’s Best Regional Hospitality Venue award for the third year running, keeping its perfect streak alive since opening in 2020. To accompany the big win, the Australind pub also won the Best Family Dining and Retail Bottleshop awards, also for the third consecutive year. Venue manager Addy Ribeiro said team work was the key to the venue’s success. “It’s a great team achievement for sure, not just to win the award for the best WA Regional Venue, but for winning three years in a row. “That’s great team work and a lot of people with different skills working in the same direction.” With the three wins three years in a row, the venue has been inducted into the Hall of Fame. According to Mr Ribeiro the community played a crucial role in the journey. “I just want to thank the whole community for the support we have had since day one,” he said. “Every year, every day it is an amazing feeling to have all the community behind us and support us.” The venue was Bunbury’s first craft brewery and opened in July last year. Co-owner Pete Firth said the award was due to hard work and community support. “We’re really grateful to Bunbury and the South West and further afield for all the support and encouragement everyone’s given us,” he said. “To win best new venue is indicative of a huge team and a lot of effort from a large number of people as well of course all those guests that come in and enjoy the venue and everything we offer.” Mr Firth said his venue thrived by bringing something new to the region. “I think we pioneered something in Bunbury in the way it’s taken off and the welcoming nature of Froth that has an offering really for people from all walks of life and demographics,” he said. “We’ve just capitalised on all the opportunities that the South West have with local produce, we’ve got a beer coming out soon where all the ingredients from the hops to the yeast are all sourced within 100km which is really exciting.”
