World class magicians bring ‘mind bending’ show to BREC

South West audiences are set to experience the mind-bending journey of Adam and Selina Murby when the magicians bring their Illusions Of The Mind show to Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre. The Murby siblings were grand finalists on Australia’s Got Talent and are also award-winning performers for Fringe World and known to captivate with mental manipulation, mind-reading, and psychological illusions. The renowned duo told the South Western Times the show was a combination of classic traditional magic with the latest and greatest performance elements they have been working on throughout their career. “We’re using a lot of mind reading and sleight of hand in this particular show - it’s a great family night out,” Adam Murby said. “It’s a very interactive show and we have lots of fun with people. “We don’t want to give away too much but the finale is what brings the whole show together.” The duo has been performing for more than 20 years, inspired and influenced by their grandmother to who they dedicate part of their act. Selina Murby said their shared passion since childhood has made their relationship as siblings stronger. “Magic is our gift to the world and that’s what keeps it so special for us,” she said. “There is something just truly magical about seeing people’s faces light up. “It’s so incredibly powerful and something we live for.” The Puzzle is a magic trick the pair showcase as a tradition in memory of their family legacy, which they strive to continue through teaching children magic through their online magic school. “It’s great for the kids to boost morale, confidence and fine motor skills,” Adam Murby said. “We wish there was something like when we were kids.” Illusions Of The Mind will be performed at BREC on April 13.
