After initial plans for a regional tour came to an abrupt halt last year, YUCK Circus is ready to wow Harvey in 2021. The fearless ladies of YUCK Circus have embarked on a tour of regional WA championing the female voice, with a performance slated for the Harvey Recreation Centre next Wednesday. The tour is the latest production to go on the road as part of Regional Arts WA and Act-Belong-Commit’s Shows on the Go tours. YUCK Circus founder Georgia DeGuara said it was exciting to be back on the road after the tour was initially cancelled due to COVID-19. “It will be an hour of our all-female cast kicking gender stereotypes in the face,” she said. “It’s a bit punk-rock, it’s a bit of run-around and plenty of bad jokes.” DeGuara said she was excited to venture down south to perform in Harvey. “Harvey is going to be amazing and we’ve had heaps of support from Regional Arts and the Harvey Recreation Centre’s arts program,” she said. The tour began in DeGuara’s old stomping ground in the Kimberley, which had been exciting for her. It comes off performances in Perth during the 2021 Fringe World Festival.
