Rockingham detectives charge two teenagers in relation to Golden Bay home burglaries

Rockingham detectives have charged two teenagers in relation to home burglaries and stealing in Golden Bay.

Police said that the homes were broken into between 8.20am and 8.50am on February 9.

Jewellery, cash, power tools and bank cards were stolen.

Community members who reported the incidents led to police arresting two boys the following day at a home in Golden Bay, where a significant amount of stolen property was recovered.

A 17-year-old boy from Swan View was charged with two counts of aggravated home burglary, three counts of stealing, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 16-year-old boy from Ellenbrook was charged with two counts of aggravated home burglary, four counts of stealing and breach of bail undertaking.

Both were remanded in custody to appear in Rockingham Children’s Court.
