A 35-year-old man from Armadale has been accused of raping a teenage boy more than 10 years ago.

Officers from the Sex offender management squad charged the man with the historical offences yesterday.

It will be alleged the man, who was between 23 and 25 at the time of the time of the alleged offences, raped a 14-year-old boy three times between November 2009 and August 2011 in the Swan View and Maylands areas.

He is also accused of indecently dealing with the boy, encouraging him to engage in sexual behaviour and trying to rape him.

The man will face Perth Magistrate’s Court today, charged with six crimes including three counts of sexually penetrating a child over 13 and under 16 and one count of indecently assaulting a child over 13 and under 16.

Investigating officers are urging anyone with information relating to this matter, or any similar alleged incidents that occurred in Swan View or Maylands between 2005 and 2011, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online.
