Baldivis: Police investigating after woman attempted to lure child from playground
Police are investigating after a woman attempted to lure a child away from a playground in Perth’s south.
The incident occurred about 2.55pm on Monday at the playground near Annabell Way and Elderberry Drive in Baldivis.
An unknown woman approached a child and attempted to lead them away before the child’s parent intervened.
“Rockingham detectives are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they investigate a report of a suspicious approach of a child in Baldivis today,” a police spokesperson said.
“Detectives believe that a woman seen in the area around the time of the incident may be able to assist with their investigation.
Police described the woman as having light brown skin, of medium build, with black hair. Her hair was tied back at the time and she was wearing glasses.
“She was wearing a large, dark coloured hooded puffer jacket, a white shirt, blue jeans and black thongs,” the Police said.
“The woman was last seen walking towards Kerosene Lane.
“Inquiries remain ongoing.”
