Mandurah woman left ‘unable to walk’ after violent robbery at Pinjarra Road business

A Mandurah woman has been left unable to walk following a violent robbery.

Police say the woman in her 50s was at an aged care business on Pinjarra Road at 4.20pm on August 5 when she heard a noise downstairs.

A man broke in, ran up the stairs and grabbed the woman’s handbag.

When the woman held onto the bag, she was pulled down the stairs as the man ran off.

CCTV captured moments later show a man running down a Mandurah laneway while clutching a handbag.

The victim was rushed to Peel Health campus with serious injuries.

“Her injuries have had a significant impact on the victim and she will be unable to walk for the foreseeable future,” police said in a statement.

Detectives are appealing to the public to come forward with information about the incident.
