Chamkaur and Pritpal Singh: Perth men accused of sexual assault on Geraldton foreshore have matters adjourned

Two Perth men accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the Geraldton foreshore earlier this year have had their court case adjourned again. Chamkaur Singh, 33, and Pritpal Singh, 34, who are not related but known to each other and work together, are both charged with one count of aggravated sexual penetration without consent. It is alleged that the Piara Waters men led an intoxicated woman from the Foreshore Hangout Lounge to the beach along the Geraldton foreshore and sexually assaulted her in April. Their matter was listed for a committal mention in Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday. Chamkaur Singh did not appear by consent, while Pritpal Singh was absent but represented by his defence lawyer via audio link. Their matters were adjourned for committal mention on September 18 for reasons undisclosed to the court. Both men were granted bail with strict conditions by Geraldton magistrate Matthew Walton in mid-May.
