Geraldton’s Valhalla Gym ready to take on State’s best MMA talent in Red Dust Show in Kalgoorlie

Geraldton fighters have geared up to travel to the Goldfields to take on some of the State’s best MMA talent in the action packed Red Dust Show X in Kalgoorlie this Saturday.

With fighters converging from various gyms, including Valhalla gym in Geraldton, this event promises to deliver adrenaline-pumping action.

Among the contenders set to grace the octagon include Valhalla Gym’s Declan Rhodes, Brendon Forrester, Sophia Farmer and Kyle Dobney.

Strength and conditioning coach Xavier Sequira said they had been honing their skills and preparing hard for the big event.

“After the first competitive fight, our fighters are feeling more confident than ever,” he said.

“They’ve undergone rigorous training during their fight camp, ensuring they’re in peak physical condition and mentally prepared for the challenges ahead.”

Valhalla Gym’s Sophia Farmer is feeling confident as she gears up for her bout.

“I feel ready for this fight,” she said.

“I know what to expect after a grueling camp, and I’ve put in the work to ensure my weight, mind, and skills are all on point. I’m grateful to have a team that pushes me to give 110 per cent every time I step into the cage.”

Kyle Dobney echoes her sentiments, expressing his excitement at being able to showcase his skills in the cage once again.

“I’m thrilled to be back in the cage, facing off against a strong and skilled opponent,” he said.

“I’m determined to prove myself as a mixed martial artist and put on another entertaining fight for the fans.”

The locals will enter the ring on Saturday, May 4 at the Oasis Goldfields Recreation Centre.
