Leschenault Catchment Council invite community to celebrate the year that was

The Leschenault Catchment Council are inviting the community together to celebrate the year’s work with end of year celebration next month.

The LCC are set to host a major gathering on December 11 at St Aidan Wines from 5pm to 8pm as they recognise this year’s community champions.

The event will see a guest presentation from renowned eco-guide Gary Muir as he shares adventures from the Walpole Wilderness as well as delving into the LCC’s recent achievements and potential plans for next year.

The group will also announce this years Environmental Stewards Awards recognising members of the community who have shown outstanding commitment to conservation over this past year.

LCC’s executive officer Caroline Hughes said the presentation is a great opportunity for interested community members to connect with the LCC.

“Come along, connect with us and have some fun, all while learning more about our commitment to creating a healthy, biodiverse and climate resilient natural environment and sustainable future for people and culture within the Leschenault Catchment,” she said.

Ticket are available online and are $10 for members and $20 for non-members $20. Tickets include a drink on arrival and light refreshments during the evening.
