A woman allegedly helped lure Victorian man Jarrad Lovison into the hands of his killers, a court has been told.

Samantha Guillerme is one of three people charged with the murder of the 37-year-old, who disappeared from East Gippsland in April last year.

Mr Lovison’s remains were found at Moondarra State Park, about 25km north from where he was last seen at Newborough.

Two men – Jake Brown and Andrew Price – have also been charged with murder in relation to his death.

During a bail hearing at the Supreme Court of Victoria it was revealed the 25-year-old woman made “limited admissions” during tapped phone calls out of prison.

“(The calls) indicated she did play a part in luring the deceased into the hands of those who killed him,” Justice Paul Coghlan said.

“She anticipated he would be assaulted or potentially seriously assaulted but not murdered,” the judge said.

The court heard she said Mr Lovison would have “the shit kicked out of him”.

It’s alleged Ms Guillerme and her co-accused conspired to kill the deceased by luring him to a remote location and “either forcing, threatening or tricking him” into ingesting a large quantity of GHB.

There was “mounting tensions” between Mr Price and Mr Lovison, according to prosecutors.

At the time of the alleged murder Ms Guillerme was “almost out of control”, using drugs and associating with others who did, the judge said.

Police didn’t want the woman granted bail out of fears she could obstruct justice and could interfere with witnesses.

They pointed to a tapped phone call made in October where she spoke to an associate about a key witness.

“If it weren’t for the heat that’s on everyone in relation to Lovo pretty sure Patty would be dead,” she said, according to Detective Bree Blair.

Ms Guillerme also spoke to her co-accused suggesting she could “stake out” the location of the witness, the court was told.

Another conversation recorded her speaking to Mr Brown about stabbing her former employer with a pen or burning down the premises in relation to a Fair Work Claim.

But Justice Coghlan said there didn’t seem to be any action taken from those alleged threats or plans and he took that call between the pair to be “largely bravado”.

He granted Ms Guillerme bail to live with her parents at Moe but she must abide by strict conditions including a curfew, not to contact any witnesses or her co-accused and not to take any drugs.

The judge warned the young woman to comply with her bail and to stay away from her former associates otherwise he would revoke her bail.

“It’s perfectly simple. No good can come of it – nothing,” Justice Coghlan said.

She will next face court in November.
