Mines Rovers grabbed a percentage lead in the Goldfields Football League’s colts standings after beating Kalgoorlie 11.8 (74) to 7.5 (47) in last weekend’s round three action.

Kalgoorlie fought back from a quarter-time deficit to kick three second-term goals that levelled the scores.

But the Diorites took charge after the main break, adding three goals in each of the remaining two quarters.

Harry Gouge, Marcellus Bonney and Blake Bawdon each booted two goals for the winners, as did Jude Meyers and Brock Deinobili for Kalgoorlie.
