Franchise face big test against Olympians

The second leg of a split round in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association’s women’s second division will be played on Friday night when Olympians clash with Franchise.

Franchise are underdogs in the clash that starts at 7.15pm, with just two wins from 11 matches.

It is in stark contrast to Olympians, who have tallied 11 wins.

Round 14 started on Wednesday night when Sarah Cosh and Kate Cusick combined for 34 points in CBC’s 57-48 victory over Saints.

Amanda Sambo (22 points) and Sharni Winter (12) led Saints’ effort.

In the men’s second division, CBC lead the standings with 10 wins and two losses.

All three round 15 games on Friday night start at 6.15pm.

In the first division on Friday night, a men’s clash between Saints and CBC launches the program at 7.15pm.

The same clubs will be opposed in the women’s first division at 8.30pm.

CBC 36 points; Olympians 34 points; Saints 18; Franchise 15.

Women division 3:

Men division 2:
