Goldfields netballers win grand finals in Perth

Eastern Goldfields Netball Association players capped off an impressive long weekend display at the annual association championships in Perth by advancing to three grand finals and claiming two championships.
The region’s 12-and-under team carried an unbeaten record into the grand final but fell just short, 15-12.
However, the 13-and-under team never lost a game en route to a 24-9 triumph in the decider.
It was a similar story among the 14-and-under combination, who were also unbeaten on their way to a 16-8 triumph in the grand final.
EGNA’s 16-and-under group notched two wins, four losses and a draw to finish in overall sixth place.
With three wins and three losses, the 20-and-under line-up finished overall fourth.
Fixtures last weekend were decided across 46 divisions, 48 associations and 320 teams, including 35 regional associations.
After a general bye, division one fixtures resumed on Friday night for the first of the 10 remaining qualifying rounds.
