Kalgoorlie White turned the tables on favourites Boulder Black last weekend to be crowned Goldfields lawn bowling’s men’s league pennants champions for a fourth consecutive year.

Boulder Black hosted the decider after finishing the qualifiers in first place with 46 points from Kalgoorlie White (40.5 points).

Despite the home side’s favourites status, Kalgoorlie White enjoyed a brilliant start by leading all three games after six ends.

From that point, Kalgoorlie White were never headed en route to a 6-1 victory after being well led by Joe Kennedy, Barry Pascoe and Brian Osmetti.

Last Saturday’s last game was abandoned due to extreme heat and the start time for the next day’s decider was brought forward to 8am.
