Lotto: Perth woman to celebrate $1 million Millionaire Medley win by getting new tattoos
A Perth punter will celebrate her good fortune after winning $1 million by getting new tattoos.
The young woman was shocked when notified via the Lotterywest app on Monday that she had won division one in Millionaire Medley.
In fact, believing it was a scam, she emailed Lotterwest’s customer service team to let them know.
“I thought I was hallucinating when I saw the number on my screen, I was in such shock,” the winner, who lives north of the river, said.
“The following morning, I received a phone call verifying it wasn’t a dream and I had won, which was all very surreal.
“I’m only in my 20s, I have a lot of time ahead of me and this money will help set me up for the future.”
She said she would celebrate her win by adding to her collection of ink.
“I have a few different pieces already, so I’d like to add some more,” she said.
“Upgrading my gaming system is also something I can have a little bit of fun with.”
But she was adamant about one thing.
“I won’t be getting a tattoo of the Lotterywest logo,” she quipped.
Lotterywest supports communities across WA through its grants program.
Lotterywest is supporting the Volunteer Centre of WA with a $50,000 grant to help bring people together for the 2025 Volunteering WA State Conference, which will be held in Perth next week.
