Man dead, another injured after wall collapses at Brisbane construction site

A man has died and another man has been seriously injured after a retaining wall collapsed at a construction site in Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to an industrial site on Boundary St in West End about 8.30am on Tuesday after reports two workers had become trapped after a retaining wall collapsed.
Queensland Ambulance confirmed to NewsWire that one man, aged 45, died at the scene.


Another man, aged 19, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition following a prolonged extrication, Queensland Ambulance said.
Images from the scene showed a heavy police presence as investigations into the incident get underway.
Police say they are preparing a report for the coroner following “the sudden and non-suspicious death”.
Investigations are ongoing with Queensland Police Service working alongside Workplace Health and Safety.
