Kwinana Freeway southbound at Mount Henry Bridge was brought to a standstill on Saturday after a duck and its ducklings attempted to cross Perth’s busiest road.
Footage shows cars parked on the bridge as a number of Good Samaritans attempt to usher the little ducklings to safety.
The duck and ducklings were eventually rescued, but not before traffic had backed up to a standstill back to Manning Road.
Later in the night, a reported crash wreaked havoc on South Western Highway as motorists travelled home on Saturday night.
The incident was located on the Highway on Bedfordale Hill Road and William Street in Mount Richon.
The crash was reported by Main Roads at 7.10pm.
Main Roads has advised drivers to exercise “extreme” caution if travelling in the area.
The crash has since been cleared.
