A popular beach in WA’s South West has been closed to swimmers, after a shark sighting off the coast.

Swimmers at Yallingup Beach were called out of the water for an hour after the sighting of a 3 metre Tiger Shark

One witness said the shark launched out of the water just 200 metres from swimmers, including families on school holidays.

Surf Life Saving confirmed the beach had been closed shortly after 11:30am this morning.
