WA’s biggest one-day show is back again this year, and organisers are promising it will be bigger and better than ever.
Along with the crowd favourites of sideshow alley, machinery displays and the best of South West agriculture on show, this year’s main drawcards include a special dedication to the people who keep the region safe.
Brunswick Agricultural Society president Julianne Hill said the Brunswick Show’s theme this year is Celebrating Rural Emergency Services to show appreciation for all these workers do.
“We are excited to highlight all rural emergency services do in our communities,” Mrs Hill said.
“They are the everyday heroes in our towns and on show day — we celebrate them.”
The Brunswick Show will be held at the Brunswick Showgrounds on October 22.
Nine emergency services will host stall on the day, alongside the more than 400 vendors lined up for show day.
Showgoers not only get to meet their everyday heroes, but RAC will be at the showgrounds with their rescue simulator, and DFES will give a jaws-of-life demonstration so people can see up close how a rescue unfolds on the road.
“Guests of the show will be treated to a wide variety of things to do, from working agricultural demonstrations and displays to hands-on machinery experiences, organisers have made sure there is something for the whole family,” Mrs Hill said.
“Entries for the show competitions are now open, from stud beef to bantam chickens, Lego to roses and so much more there is a competition for everyone.”
Information on entries can be found online at brunswickshow.com.au or by visiting the office on show week before October 19.
