Fire advice for Capel

A bushfire advice has been issued for Shire of Capel residents.

The fire was reported at 12.40pm and is burning between Gavins Road, Boundary Road and Cain Road.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site.

There is no threat to lives or homes.

Two fixed wing water bombers and one aerial intelligence helicopter are assisting ground crews from five brigades

The cause of the fire is unknown.

People are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to Police Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
