Popular sports bar Last Slice to take over Dalyellup Ale House and open second venue

A popular Bunbury sports bar is expanding its horizons, set to open a new franchise in Dalyellup. After plenty of online speculation, owners of the CBD sensation Last Slice Sports Bar have revealed themselves as the new owners of the former Dalyellup Ale House. They confirmed they would be opening their second South West venue later this year. Director Casey Teede said the new addition was a long time coming and he was “itching” to share the news with the community. “It took around 11 months to get everything sorted with the receivership,” he said. “We finally confirmed everything last month ... I saw a lot of rumours and things online about who would be taking over and I just wanted to say something but couldn’t. “It’s a great opportunity, and huge investment for us ... we’re going to try our best to deliver a pub the people of Dalyellup deserve.” The company originally started as a “hole in the wall” take-out pizza venue in Bunbury, before moving into its Clifton Street location just two years ago. Originally looking to expand to Mandurah, Mr Teede said the Dalyellup opportunity came at the right time and the team was “stoked” to be opening a new store. He hinted the new chain would be similar to the well-known Bunbury venue but “bigger and better in every way” with a bigger menu, beer garden, “massive” television screens and kids play area with overall “family friendly” all-ages appeal. Sticking true to the building’s Ale House roots, Mr Teede said he took on many of the old staff members and hopes they will work out of the new Dalyellup restaurant when it eventually opens. While an official opening date is yet to be disclosed, Mr Teede said he was “confident” the new facility would be open by summer. He thanked the South West community for their support of the restaurant, saying he is looking forward to the future. “It’s been amazing to see how far we’ve come in just a few years,” he said. “The community has really got behind us and we’re just so happy with where we’re going and what’s to come.”
