A dairy farmer from New Zealand has seized an opportunity to bring ice-cold treats to Bunbury’s CBD with the opening of his latest business venture.

Decked out in a bright neon sign, Dirty Rascals Ice Cream Shop opened on January 2 on Victoria Street.

With a flavour for all sweet-tooths, Dirty Rascals manager Courtney Codlin-Masters said the idea of the store was to put a modern touch on the old-style dairy ice-cream shops.

“We have so many awesome flavours but also like that the shop is just ice-cream and milkshakes to keep it simple for customers,” she said.

Ms Codlin-Masters said owner Jim thought it was a “no-brainer” to open the shop in Bunbury with the combination of being the biggest city outside of Perth and a beach on its doorstep, it was the perfect spot for an ice-cream shop.

Many of the other businesses on Victoria Street have been so kind and coming in to to welcome us all to the street, we love that Bunbury has this community spirit and are happy to be a part of that,

she said.

With Bunbury being the first location of Dirty Rascals Ice Cream, Ms Codlin-Masters said they hoped to expand the Dirty Rascal name to other locations around the State.
