South Bunbury residents have been left angered by a callous act of vandalism along what was to become a leafy walkway in the suburb. Residents awoke on Saturday morning to find the avenue of gum trees planted between Timperley and Adam roads had been either uprooted or snapped off at the trunk. The 12 trees, which had been planted by the City of Bunbury, were damaged beyond recovery. It is the second time this kind of vandalism has occurred in the area, but residents said the damage this time was more extensive. A local resident told the Herald the damage occurred a short time before 9.30 pm on Friday, December 2.
