116 squash players compete in more than 200 matches at 2022 South West Open

Squash fanatics from across the South West came together last month to battle it out in the 2022 South West Open. In this year’s Open, run by the Bunbury Squash Club at the South West Sports Centre from June 24-26, 116 players contested more than 200 matches. The Men’s Open division champion was Mike Corren, with David Ilich runner-up. In the Women’s Open division, Lai Wan Joannah Yue took the top prize, with Sue Hillier runner-up. The Bunbury Squash Club said they hoped to keep the momentum going through the success of the tournament and build towards hosting a Professional Squash Association satellite tournament next year, attracting players from across Australia.
