Australind couple shaken after waking to thief in home

A couple have been left shaken following an aggravated burglary in Australind overnight.

About 4.40am the couple awoke to find the thief ransacking their Anna Road home.

The male offender fled the property when the couple disturbed him.

Australind Police Sen. Sgt Mark Smith said the offender stole jewellery from the home.

“Police are also investigating a number of associated thefts from vehicles in the area,” he said.
