The Bunbury & Districts Cricket Association’s women’s competition landscape could face a significant change as teams get ready for a double fixture before the Christmas break. Players within the BDCA’s women’s competition are set to take part in a massive double header taking place on Sunday to mark the last two rounds before 2023. Donnybrook, Colts, Dalyellup and Marist will all face two fixtures in the one day, with teams set to compete in T20 matches during a morning session, which kicks off from 10am, and an afternoon session, which kicks off from 2pm. Eaton have a match against Colts during the morning session at Forrest Park North, and Hay Park have a fixture against Donnybrook at the Hay Park Multi Sports Pavillion during the morning session. For Donnybrook, Sunday will be a chance to continue reigning supreme over the competition and extend their undefeated streak with two wins in one day, after dominating Leschenault 3-205 to 5-87 last weekend. However, Colts remain hot on Donnybrook’s tail just one win behind them on the ladder in second place. Victories against Eaton and Dalyellup could see Colts bump Donnybrook for first place, provided either Hay Park or Marist pull off a huge upset and defeat the Dons. Marist, Dalyellup and Hay Park will all fight for a chance to find themselves within the top four before the end of the year. Leschenault will have the week off, having already defeated Eaton 6-112 to 5-98 in their round seven match-up last Saturday at Leschenault Recreation Ground.
