Boyanup’s Keen Race Team dominated The Krikke Boys Shootout for Limited Sprintcars at Perth Motorplex last week, claiming both first and second place. Starting from pole position, Michael Keen took the lead in the closing laps to claim his fourth feature win of the season, and he was joined on the podium by his older brother Daniel, who finished in second. Michael said he was delighted to be back on top after recent car issues. “To get back into the winner’s circle was a fantastic feeling, not only for me, but for the whole team, and it’s also the best kind of reward for all of the team’s continued hard work,” he said. Daniel said he was delighted to finish second behind his brother. “If someone had said to me at the beginning of last night that this was where we were going to finish, I simply wouldn’t have believed them,” he said. The Keens Race Team’s next assignment will come at the Moora Speedway on March 23 for the 10th round of the Western Australian Limited Sprintcar Series, which will also be the second running of the President’s Trophy.
