Bunbury Runners and Battery All Types to host Father’s Day Fun Run and Car Cruise

The Bunbury Runners Club and Battery All Types have come together to organise a family fitness event for men’s health this Father’s Day which is expected to be a fun-filled morning for families to come together in the sun. The two organisations will join forces on Sunday for their annual Father’s Day Fun Run and Car Cruise, which Battery All Types said was ‘all about the blokes’. The day will begin at 8 am at Big Swamp in Bunbury and two running events will be held on the day, a one-lap around the roughly 2km Swamp and a two-lap run around the same course. After the run, a car and motorbike cruise and display will take place from 10:30 am. Organisers said the fun run was an all-inclusive family fitness event for men’s health and encouraged people to bring their friends and family. All proceeds from the event — which raised about $3000 last year — go to the Bunbury Men’s Shed. Free pancakes will be served on the morning and a coffee van will be on site.
