Fatal crash in Parkfield
POLICE are investigating crash in Parkfield early this morning in which two people died.
Police believe the silver Holden Astra was travelling north on Forrest Highway before it crashed into a tree on the median strip, and was reported at 6.30am.
The two occupants of the car were found deceased inside the vehicle and have yet to be identified.
Police had attempted to stop the same vehicle on Peel Terrace in Busselton, just after 3am, with a search conducted over the Busselton and Geographe area failing to find it.
Major Crash investigators are calling for anyone who may have seen the crash, or the car in the area prior to the crash to come forward, in particular those who may have dash cam footage.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash in addition to the attempt to stop the car in Busselton.
