Homelessness Working Group given go-ahead with more members than planned
The Bunbury council’s new working group aimed at tackling homelessness and housing solutions has been ticked off by elected members, who will now look to recruit community representatives.
During a council meeting on Tuesday night, Bunbury City Council selected its own representatives for the newly-formed Homelessness and Housing Solutions Working Group.
The original recommendation endorsed two council representatives on the group, however, Cr Michelle Steck brought forward the option of having more because more council members were keen to join.
The motion was endorsed by Cr Gabi Ghasseb and four nominees put themselves forward.
Cr Steck, Cr Ghasseb, Cr Todd Brown and Cr Partasarathy Ramesh were put forward as nominees, with all other councillors as proxy members.
