Marino encourages community to stay updated

South Western Times

Forrest MHR Nola Marino is encouraging South West residents to keep accessing up to date coronavirus information and do whatever they can to help contain the spread of the virus.

“This is the time for all of us in our South West community to support each other while respecting the seriousness of the situation,” Mrs Marino said.

“A National Coronavirus health information line is available to provide health and situation information on the outbreak.

“In order to access the latest on the Government’s response to coronavirus, a central source is also available via www.australia.gov.au.”

Mrs Marino said people in the South West accessing income support payments did not need to visit a Centrelink office.

“Current customers do not need to do anything to receive the Economic Support payment or the Coronavirus Supplement,” she said.

“New customers will be asked to create a MyGov account before confirming their identity, which can be done over the phone.”
